Beauty is skin deep

Just a quick blog post to share for Halloween. I've been learning how faces build on top of skulls, and as a quick exercise, tried it on a few faces that I had to hand. This has first required me to get better at drawing portraits, and then studiously work through skin thickness tables, and I know I still have a lot to learn. But for now, a fun gallery for you to guess whose skull that is! Answers on the webpage.

And finally, my favourite couple of "normal people" from TV. (I enthusiastically shared this on a fan page of their TV series... but I forgot that the normal public can be very weird about skulls, so it did start a bit of controversy!)
